Viz Wall

Add a Window

To add a window:

Connect a personal device (the window will automatically mirror the device screen).

OR

  1. Tap the left screen of the Viz Wall with a finger or the stylus.
  2. Tap the plus sign that appears on the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select which type of window to add: browser, whiteboard, or file.

Modify a Window

To modify a window:

  1. Tap the top edge of the window with a finger or the stylus.
  2. Tap the colored bar icon that appears at the top of the window.
  3. In a browser window, tap the ‘www’ button that appears along the top of the window to enter a URL.
  4. Use the menu that appears in the top right corner of the window to:
    • close the window (X),
    • fullscreen the window (two diagonal arrows),
    • or transfer the window to the right side in full screen (right-facing arrow in box).

Connect a Personal Device

Users may connect personal devices to the Viz Wall by using:

HDMI

Plug the provided HDMI cord, found below the center of the Viz Wall into the HDMI port on the device.

OR

WiFi

  1. Connect to the GatorNet wifi network.
  2. Identify which screen mirroring program the device has: AirPlay (Apple devices) or Miracast (Android and Windows)
    • AirPlay users:
      1. Open AirPlay on laptop or phone.
      2. The Viz Wall should appear as an available output.
      3. Select the Viz Wall and screen will begin mirroring.
    • Miracast PC users:
      1. Go to Settings > Devices.
      2. Click ‘Add a Device.’ The Viz Wall should appear.
      3. Click on the Viz Wall option. The Viz Wall is now available as a device under the ‘Project’ tab of the Device menu.
      4. Click on the Project tab, then click on the Viz Wall. The PC screen will begin mirroring.
    • Miracast Android users:
      1. Go to Settings > Device > Display > Cast Screen.
      2. Use the menu button at the top of the screen to click ‘Enable Wireless Display.’
      3. The Viz Wall will appear in the list of available devices. Click on it and the screen will begin mirroring.

If AirPlay/Miracast does not recognize the Viz Wall:

  1. Take note of the IP address of the Viz Wall, located in the upper left corner of the screen.
  2. Download the VSolutionCast app.
  3. Open the app and type in the Viz Wall’s IP address (found in the top right corner of the screen).
  4. Follow the AirPlay or Miracast steps again. The device should now recognize the Viz Wall as an output option.
  5. Select the Viz Wall and the device screen will begin mirroring.
