USMAI Request step-by-steps

How to Request a Book from Another Library: 

  1. Go to the library catalog.
  2. After searching for an item, click on the title and select “Availability.”
  3. Check that the item’s status says “On Shelf” at one of the listed locations.
  4. Select the yellow Request button.
  5. Choose your school (Loyola University or Notre Dame of Maryland University) and log in with your Inside Loyola email address and password, or your Notre Dame email address and Network/Campus password (The same password used for logging into WebAdvisor and campus computers).
  6. Choose your pick-up location.
  7. Select “Send”.
  8. Items take about a week to arrive, and you’ll receive an e-mail when it’s available for pick-up.

How can I see books available at LNDL?

Limit to LNDL Books

Follow these directions to limit your results to only books available at LNDL: 

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the search results list. 
  2. Locate the "Choose Catalog" drop-down menu. 
  3. From the drop-down, select "Loyola Notre Dame". 
  4. Click the yellow "Send" button to the right of the drop--down menu.
