Library Log-in with Campus Credentials: Home

Changes to Library Login

As of May 25, the Loyola Notre Dame Library has transitioned to a new login system for accessing the library's databases, catalog and other resources for your coursework and research.

To login, you will be required to use your Loyola or NDMU provided username (full email address: example@loyola, student@live.ndm.edu or faculty@ndm.edu) and password rather than your library barcode number.

If you are accessing a link that is still asking for a library barcode number to log in rather than a Loyola or Notre Dame branded log in screen, you will need to update the link you are using. You can update your link using our link creator. https://loyolanotredamelib.org/proxystringcreator/proxystringcreator.html

Please contact Danielle Whren Johnson, Copyright and Special Projects Librarian, at dwhren@loyola.edu, dwhren@ndm.edu, or 410-617-6872 with any questions.

For Notre Dame Students

Notre Dame students should log in to LNDL resources using their Network\Campus credentials using their email address and Network\Campus password (the same log in used for PCs in campus Labs and WebAdvisor).

If you are a Notre Dame student and unable to log in with your Network\Campus credentials, please contact the Notre Dame IT Help Desk at 410-532-5200 to have your password reset.

For Faculty

Changes to Library Links

As a result of this upgrade to our login system, links to articles, e-books, and streaming media in library databases will also change. Any Library links included in Moodle/Joule courses and syllabi will need to be updated to reflect these changes.  LNDL will provide help in updating these links. Your Library Liaison (http://guides.lndlibrary.org/faculty/liaisons) will be in touch in July to explain how they can help you update your list.   And, if you want to get started before July, please contact your liaison.

The timeline for these changes will occur as follows:

May 25 – June 30, 2017

  • On May 25, the Library will begin updating the way you access to the content we provide allowing for login via your campus credentials rather than your library barcode number.
  • On May 25, links in Seeker (the main search box on the Library’s home page) and links inside of Proquest databases may not work properly as the updates are occurring. Links in all other databases should work.
  • Until all information is updated for all of our databases (anticipated by the end of June) some databases may still require a barcode login from off-campus. Regular updates on the Library’s website will be posted to provide information on these changes as they occur.
  • Continue to use existing links in your courses until the Library completes the update with all of our database vendors.

July 1, 2017 – February 28, 2018

  • The Library Liaison to your department will contact you to let you know the Library has completed our transition and provide instructions on updating any Library links you may have included in Moodle, Joule, or your syllabi.
  • Your Library Liaison will assist you in updating links if needed. More information on this process will be provided in July.
  • Old links will continue to work until March 1, 2018, but will still require a barcode login from off-campus. For resources accessed through the updated links, you will use your Loyola or Notre Dame credentials to log in.

March 1, 2018

  • Effective March 1, 2018 all links that have not been updated will no longer work.
